Qualification Requirements and Regulations
There is no National Qualifications Framework at the moment in Cyprus; however, PA College implements the Qualifications Framework as instituted by the Bologna process. The total number of credits earned is documented in the official transcript of the Institution and in the Diploma Supplement. Also, full implementation of the graduation requirements is needed, as specified in the “Graduation Requirements” section further below.
Profile of the Programme
Aims
The main educational aims and objectives of the programme are:
- To provide a general business background to students along with a strong basis of knowledge in the respective specialization field, in this case of Marketing Management.
- To develop students’ intellectual abilities and analytical skills required to handle the range of novel situations that they might encounter in their future careers or postgraduate studies.
Objective
- To enable students to acquire a variety of skills; interpersonal, communication, numeracy, problem solving etc. and to apply these in appropriate business situations.
- The programme places an emphasis on both academic and professional development. It focuses not only on theories, but also on their latest application to real business cases.
Key Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the programme the student will be able to:

- Apply theory and skills developed in the areas of Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance into practice.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples
PA College graduates are employed in the Public, Private and Banking sectors in the areas of Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Computing. Examples of companies employing PA College graduates include and are not limited to: Treasury of the Republic, VAT Service, Inland Revenue Department, KPMG, Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Bank of Cyprus, Bank of Piraeus, Cooperative banks, PIMCO, IBM, CYTA, Shacolas Group of Companies etc.
Access to Further Studies
Upon successful completion of the requirements for graduation, students can directly enter Institutions in Cyprus or abroad for further studies. Moreover, PA College students with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration-Specialisation in Marketing Management are exempted from a number of the requirements towards the professional qualification of Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, awarded by the British Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each module is assessed based on coursework (midterm exam, assignment, class participation) and final exam with allocated weights of 30:70 respectively. The final year Dissertation project is an exception where it is assessed in two parts, the written report and the oral examination with allocated weights of 85:15. In addition, midterm and final exams are marked by lecturers anonymously in order to maximize uniformity and standardization of grading. The required, passing mark for each module is 50%. Also, a student must pass all required modules, as well as the Dissertation in order to be awarded the Honours Degree qualification. The grading scale used at PA College is as follows:

Graduation Requirements
The award of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) requires the satisfactory completion of 240 ECTS units in the respective course structure with a minimum passing mark of 50% in both coursework and final exams. Also, in order to become candidates for one of the honours classifications provided below, students must achieve a minimum of 50% in the Dissertation module. Failure or marginal failure in any of the modules is dealt with in accordance to the existing College Regulations.
